Create a secure subdomain (https)

To secure a domain or subdomain for your landing pages, you can supply your own security certificate for us to install or you can enable https support for free without any IT involvement or third party security certificates within your console's Domain Manager.

Alternatively, if you'd like to use your preferred security certificate authority, you'll provide your customer success manager with the organizational information below. We'll generate a CSR (Certificate Signing request) you can use to purchase the certificate. Once purchased, provide us with the certificate and we will install. After the security certificate has been installed, we will provide you with a URL that you will point your (sub)domain's CNAME record toward. As the final step, you will then be able to update the SSL support option for your (sub)domain within your console's Domain Manager.

  • Common name (subdomain that is secured)
  • Organization
  • Organizational Unit
  • City
  • State
  • Country

*Note: Our CSR (Certificate Signing Request)  standards are:
Key Length = 2048 KB
Server = IIS

Please provide this organizational information to your account manager and we'll get the ball rolling.

*NOTE: If renewing a security certificate, we would recommend reaching out to begin this process 3-4 weeks before the expiration date to ensure that the certificate can be installed before the certificate's current expiration date.

Please also note that root domains require a special setup. Please reach out to ion support to discuss further before deciding if you would like to secure a root domain.

The free security certificate option utilizes a LetsEncrypt to secure (sub)domains.
