When uploading an updated version of a layout to iClips, it may not replace the old one. In this article, understand why this happens and how to fix it.
In the day-to-day life of agencies, updates are recurrent situations, especially in layouts, aren't they?
As a result, it is often necessary to upload the same file within the system after changing a font, color, or image.
However, before performing the new upload, it's important to change the file's name or clear the browser cache. Otherwise, the system will not recognize the updated information.
That happens because the browser cache saves the layout, and it ends up using the name as a key. That is, if the name does not change, the layout is the same for the cache.
How do I clear my browser cache?
- If your browser is Chrome, just click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen and go to> clear browsing data, or press ctrl + shift + del.
- On Mac, choose Apple menu> System Preferences, click Sharing, and select "Content Cache"> In the list of services on the left, uncheck the "Content Cache" box, or press Command + R.
Important: Files imputed in iClips must have a less than 10 characters name and less than 10Mb.
