How to point to Cloudflare?

We will learn how to register your domain or subdomain in Cloudflare for your blog or website on Rock Stage.

1. Access Cloudflare with your login and password and click on your domain.

2. After that, click on “DNS”.

3. Now, we will need to access the Stage Panel to get the information we need to proceed with the pointing. Access Stage in a new tab on the home page and click on Dashboard.

4. With the Dashboard open, enter the Domain submenu.

5. Your Domain's pointing settings will be as follows.

Name field: displays the domain or subdomain you want to point to.

If you are pointing your domain, it will probably be like mydomain.com.

If you are pointing to a subdomain, it should probably be like blog.mywebsitedomain.com or www.mywebsitedomain.com.

Target field: value generated by our service that will point you to your domain or subdomain.

Important note: there is a difference between pointing the Domain and the Subdomain. The subdomain uses the main domain and is distinguished by adding another name in addition to the domain.

For example, blog.mywebsitedomain.com is a subdomain, and mywebsitedomain.com is the main domain you acquired in Registro Br.

If you want to point a Domain, click here. If it's a Subdomain, click here.

Domain pointing

7. After accessing “DNS,” all records linked to the domain in Cloudflare will appear. To point your domain, create or edit a type A record related to the main domain and point to IP 151.139.128.10 or a CNAME type record. Fill in the second field with the value represented as Target on the Stage and click on the cloud to change it to gray.

All set! 😉 Your domain has already been pointed, the deadline is 48 hours, and the URL is working correctly.

Subdomain pointing

7. After accessing “DNS,” all records linked to the domain in Cloudflare will appear. To register your domain, create or edit a CNAME record and fill in the first field with the subdomain's added value and the second field with the value represented as Target on the Stage. Click on the cloud to change it to gray.

Notes: you must fill in the first field with the added value of your domain. In the example above, we used "blog" to obtain the subdomain blog.mywebsitedomain.com as a result.

You must fill this field according to the subdomain you want to point to.

All set! 😉 Your domain has already been pointed, the deadline is 48 hours, and the URL is working correctly.
