How to point a domain to Registro.BR?

Pointing a domain

Come and learn how to point your Stage website domain or subdomain to Registro.BR.

1. Access your Registro.BR account and click on your website domain:

2. Scroll down the page and click on Edit Zone:

This option is not standard. If it does not appear, you will need to call the Registro.BR support.

3. Scroll down the page that opens and click on New entry:

4. Now, we will need to access the Rock Stage Panel to get the information we need to point to your domain. Access the Rock Stage in a new tab and click on Dashboard:

5. With the Dashboard open, enter the Domain submenu:

6. Your domain's pointing settings will be as follows:

Name field: Displays the domain or subdomain you want to point to.

Example:

If you are pointing your domain, it will probably be like mydomain.com.br.

If you are pointing to a subdomain it should probably be like blog.dominiodomeusite.com.br or www.dominiodomeusite.com.br, etc…

Target field: Value generated by our service that will point you to your domain or subdomain.

Observation: there is a difference between pointing the domain and the subdomain. The subdomain uses the main domain and distinguishes by adding another name in addition to the domain name.

Example: blog.dominiodomeusite.com.br is a subdomain as dominiodomeusite.com.br is the main domain that you acquired in Registro.Br.

If you want to point a Domain go here, if it is a Subdomain go here.

Domain Pointing

The Registro.BR does not allow your main domain a CNAME pointing. If you want to point your domain, you must do it as follows:

7. After clicking on  new entry, all the registers linked to the domain will appear in the Registro.BR. To register your domain, scroll down to the registers' end and create a type A register pointing to IP 151.139.128.10

As a result, it should look like this in the register:

That is it! 😉 You have pointed your domain, and within 48 hours, the URL must be working correctly.

Subdomain pointing

7. After clicking on New entry, all the registers linked to the domain will appear in the Registro.BR. To register your subdomain, scroll down to the register’s end and create a CNAME type register that points to the TARGET described on Stage.

As an example, I will point to blog.dominiodomeusite.com.br. I will fill out as follows:

Note: You must fill the first blank space with the added value of your domain. In the example above, it was a blog to obtain the subdomain blog.dominiodomeusite.com.br as a result.

You need to fill this blank space according to the subdomain you want to point to.

As a result, it should look like this in the register:

That is it! 😉 You have pointed your subdomain, and within 48 hours, the URL must be working correctly.
